We will assess, diagnose, and provide an individualized treatment plan to get you back on track. If medication is needed, we can provide same-day scripts to a pharmacy of your choice to initiate treatment.

The best part is, this can all be done from the comfort of your own home with virtual services. You will be able to speak with your provider via video chat and communicate with your provider before and after our appointment through a secure and confidential patient portal. We follow all HIPPA laws  to make sure your information stays private and protected. 

Our Approach

Our Practitioners use evidence-based depression and anxiety scales to guide treatment. Your follow-up visit will be scheduled within 2-3 weeks after your initial appointment to assess your response to your treatment plan and, if prescribed, your tolerance and adherence to medication.

What are some of the signs and symptoms of depression?


Depression comes in many forms and may not look the same for everyone. Symptoms of depression is individualized and may include the following: - Depressed mood: Feeling hopeless or an overwhelming sadness - Lost of interest in the things that normally give you pleasure - Moving or talking more slowly so much so that others may notice - Sleep disturbance: difficulty sleeping or sleeping too much - Decreased energy or fatigue - Changes in appetite - Thoughts of suicide




What are the symptoms of anxiety?


Symptoms of anxiety can manifest in different ways affecting the activities of your daily life. Signs to look for include the following: - Racing thoughts - Uncontrolled worrying - Difficulty concentrating - Feeling like something bad is about to happen - Increased iritability - Difficulty sleeping - Changes in appetite




Can I diagnose myself with depression or anxiety?


There are evidence-based self assessment tools available to the public that will help to assess ones level of depression or anxiety. These results in combination with a formal assessment from a provider will lead to a formal diagnosis of depression or anxiety. Is it safe to get treatment online for depression and anxiety?


Yes, your provider is able to provide a complete mental health assessment online that will provide a diagnosis and an individualized treament plan for you. You will also be able to follow-up with your provider online via video chat for ongoing management of your depression and/or anxiety. Online providers can safely prescribe anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications online as long as they are NOT considered controlled substances. For example, your online provider will not be able to prescribe Xanax without an in-person visit.




Can BeyondMed refer me to a therapist?


We are able to continue to provide treatment options for mild depression and anxiety disorders. If at any point in time, your situation requires further evaluation and treatment, we will refer you to a psychologist or psychiatrist in your area. Our goal is to make sure your are safe and have the resources to get the treatment you need.
